Nilagang Manok
Ingredients:
1 kilo chicken (cut into desired sizes)
6 cup water
20 pepper corns
2 tsp. salt
1 big onion (quartered)
2 potatoes (pared and quartered)
1 head cabbage (quartered)
4 saba bananas (halved)
1 small bundle green onion, cut into 2 inch length
1/4 kg. green beans, stringed and cut into 2 inch lengths
1 fresh pechay (native)
Pancit Canton
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo pancit canton
20 shrimps, shelled and deveined with tails on
1 chicken breast, debased
3 tbsps. cornstarch
1 tbsp. patis
3 tbsps. cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. soy sauce
25 pcs. sitsaro
1 carrot, cut into strips
1 c. cabbage, shredded
2 red and green sweet pepper, cut in strips
1 stalk celery, chopped
4 pcs. dried mushroom, soaked in water
1 egg

Binagoongang Baboy
Ingredients:
1 kilo pork, cubed
8 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup vinegar
1 l/2 cups water
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons bagoong (shrimp paste)
1 teaspoon peppercorns
Pato Binondo
The Chinese have a great influence in our cooking and have accepted many of their food stuffs like siopao, lugaw, hopia and many others. Below is a duck dish specifically called Pato Binondo, a place in China town.
Chicken Binakol
Ingredients:
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 thumb size ginger, crushed
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 medium onion, sliced
1 stalk tangled, cut into 3 inch pieces
1 chicken, cut in serving pieces
Patis (fermented fish sauce)

6 cups rice washing
2 cups grated buko
2 cups buko water
dahon ng sili (sili leaves)
1 tablespoon spring onion, chopped
Halang-Halang
This is a visayan chicken dish. Most dish from that region has coconut milk in their cooking

1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon black peppercorns

1 medium chicken, cut into 2 inch lengths
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup cooking oil
1 bunch green onion leaves, cut fine
2 teaspoons curry
1/2 cup cut boiled water chestnuts (halves)
chicken broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 slices ham, diced
Sopa De Pollo
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cooking fat
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup diced ham
1/2 onion, sliced
Gizzard, liver, blood, heart of one chicken, boiled and cut into strip
5 cups chicken stock
1 can peas
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 hardcooked egg, chopped
1/2 cup croutons (fried bread cubes)
