Adobong Puti (White Adobo)
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo sliced chicken
1/2 kilo liempo or pork belly, cubed
1 cup white vinegar
2 heads garlic, crushed
1 pc bay leaf
1 tablespoon rock salt
5 pcs peppercorn, cracked
1 cup water
cooking oil
1 teaspoon white sugar
Easy Fried Chicken with Worcestershire Sauce
Ingredients:
1 kilo Dressed chicken, washed clean and and cut into serving pieces
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Iodized salt
2 teaspoons lemon or lime or kalamansi juice
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon soy sauce(optional)
Cooking oil for frying
Sweet and Sour Chicken
Ingredients:
1 kilo chicken cut into serving pieces
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons honey
1 medium onion, sliced
2 celery stalks, sliced
1 medium red pepper, sliced
1 medium zucchini, sliced
1 carrot cut into chunks
1 tablespoon corn starch dissolved in 2 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Ellen’s Spicy Chicken Adobo
Actually this recipe is inspired by a chicken adobo from Laguna which my wife tasted when she went to her cousins there. The version of chicken adobo from Laguna was very spicy but absolutely delicious! With a little experimentation my wife made her version less spicy and the taste was, I think is more tasty because we used Coconut brand soy sauce and we use the tastiest part of the chicken, which is the whole back part instead of legs, thigh or wings. Those are sold cheaper as soup pack. So without much ado here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 kilo dressed chicken
5 cups coconut milk
4 cups glutinous rice
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 medium-sized onion, sliced
5 tablespoons yellow ginger root juice (turmeric)
1/4 cup patis or fish sauce
1 medium-sized green pepper, peeled and cut into cubes
2 pcs hard-boiled eggs, sliced
salt to taste
pepper
banana leaf wilted over burner (remove midrib)
